Shipping policy

ABSORA™ Shipping Policy

At ABSORA™, we want your order to reach you as quickly and safely as possible. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed and delivered within South Africa.

By placing an order with ABSORA™, you acknowledge and agree to the shipping terms below, subject always to your rights under applicable South African law.

1. Shipping Within South Africa

ABSORA™ currently ships orders within South Africa.

Orders are delivered using The Courier Guy or another suitable delivery service selected by ABSORA™ where necessary.

2. Delivery Time

Our estimated delivery time is:

8–11 Business Days

Delivery times are calculated in business days and generally exclude weekends and South African public holidays.

The estimated delivery period begins once your order has been processed and dispatched.

Please note that the 8–11 business day period is an estimated delivery timeframe and not a guaranteed delivery date, unless otherwise expressly agreed with you.

3. Order Processing

Orders are normally processed after successful payment has been received.

Processing and dispatch may take additional time during:

  • Promotions or sales;

  • Public holidays;

  • Peak shopping periods;

  • High-volume order periods; or

  • Unforeseen operational circumstances.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information where available.

4. Tracking Your Order

Where tracking is available, your tracking details will be provided using the contact information supplied when placing your order.

You can use the tracking information to monitor the progress of your delivery.

Tracking updates may sometimes take time to appear after a parcel has been collected by the courier.

5. Courier Delays

ABSORA™ uses third-party courier services to deliver orders.

Although we work with our courier partners to facilitate timely delivery, delivery times may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Courier network delays;

  • Severe weather;

  • Flooding or other natural events;

  • Road closures or accidents;

  • Public holidays;

  • Strikes or industrial action;

  • High parcel volumes;

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information;

  • Failed delivery attempts;

  • Security or access restrictions;

  • Technical or operational problems affecting the courier;

  • Unforeseen events; or

  • Other circumstances beyond ABSORA™'s reasonable control.

Where such circumstances occur, ABSORA™ will not be responsible for the resulting delay to the extent permitted by applicable law.

However, this does not exclude or limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under South African law.

6. Delays Beyond the Estimated Delivery Period

If your order has not arrived within the estimated 8–11 business day period, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery with the courier.

Where appropriate, ABSORA™ may contact The Courier Guy to obtain an update or investigate the location of the parcel.

We ask customers to allow reasonable time for courier investigations to be completed.

If a delivery issue results from circumstances for which ABSORA™ is legally responsible, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.

7. Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order.

Please carefully check your:

  • Full name;

  • Street address;

  • Suburb;

  • City/town;

  • Postal code;

  • Contact number; and

  • Any additional delivery instructions.

ABSORA™ cannot be held responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional delivery costs resulting from incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer, to the extent permitted by law.

If a parcel is returned to us because the delivery information was incorrect or the recipient could not reasonably be reached, additional shipping charges may apply if the order needs to be sent again.

8. Failed Delivery Attempts

The courier may make delivery attempts using the contact information and delivery address supplied with the order.

If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, the address is inaccessible, the recipient cannot be contacted, or other circumstances prevent delivery, the courier may arrange a further delivery attempt or alternative collection method.

Customers should cooperate with reasonable courier delivery arrangements to avoid unnecessary delays.

9. Damaged Parcels

If your parcel appears visibly damaged when delivered, please take photographs of the packaging and product before disposing of any packaging materials.

Contact ABSORA™ as soon as reasonably possible with:

  • Your order number;

  • Photographs of the damaged packaging;

  • Photographs of the Product; and

  • A brief description of the issue.

We will investigate the matter and, where applicable, provide the remedy required under South African consumer law.

10. Lost or Misdelivered Parcels

If your order appears to have been lost, stolen in transit or delivered to the wrong address, please contact ABSORA™.

We will investigate the matter with the courier where appropriate.

Customers should not assume that a parcel is permanently lost solely because tracking has not updated for a short period, as courier tracking information can sometimes be delayed.

Where ABSORA™ is legally responsible for the loss or misdelivery, we will provide the applicable remedy required by law.

11. Delivery to the Address Provided

Orders will be delivered to the delivery address provided by the customer during checkout.

ABSORA™ is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by inaccurate, incomplete or incorrect information supplied by the customer.

If you need to change your delivery address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been processed or dispatched.

12. Business Days

For purposes of this Shipping Policy, business days generally mean Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays.

For example, weekends and public holidays are not counted as business days when calculating the estimated 8–11 business day delivery period.

13. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to remove, restrict or waive any rights you may have under South African law.

In particular, the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) provides consumers with rights relating to delivery and requires suppliers to comply with agreed delivery arrangements.

Where a mandatory provision of South African law applies, that provision will take precedence over any conflicting provision of this Shipping Policy.

14. Delivery Estimates and Events Outside Our Control

ABSORA™ makes reasonable efforts to ensure that orders are delivered within the estimated timeframe.

However, circumstances outside our reasonable control can affect delivery times.

Where a delay is caused by such circumstances, ABSORA™ will not be responsible for the delay itself to the extent permitted by law.

This includes delays caused by third-party courier networks, severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, road closures, operational disruptions and similar unforeseen events.

This clause does not apply where doing so would unlawfully limit a consumer's statutory rights or where the delay is caused by ABSORA™'s own failure to comply with an applicable legal obligation.
